Welcome to my research webpage. I lead a research group in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London. I am also Director of the MRes Green Chemistry programme and Co-Director of the MRes in Catalysis.

My research interests lie at the interface between coordination chemistry, organometallics and materials science with particular emphasis on metal-mediated functional group transformation and catalysis. For further information, please visit my Imperial College webpage.

Current areas under investigation include:

Transition metal functionalised gold nanoparticles for catalysis

Multimetallic and nanoparticle-based MRI contrast agents

Multimetallic functional compounds

Functionalised thiols for nanotechnology applications

Biomass conversion into platform chemicals by ionic liquids
